Waffles for Dinner

Exposure Film Scholarship, sponsored by Valiant Pictures, is a submission based scholarship fund acknowledging the work(s) of young filmmakers. The scholarship devotes mentorship and financial awards to high school students who demonstrate ideals in line with Valiant’s principles of telling innovative, inspiring, and memorable stories. 

Prizes: One scholarship winner will have their name and winning entry showcased on Valiant Picture’s website. The winner will also be awarded five hundred US dollars ($500) and receive one-on-one industry guidance and mentorship from Valiant producers and directors. Three finalists will have their names acknowledged on the website.

Entry Process: Please read through the terms and conditions. Only current, US high school students in good standings are eligible for entry. If applicant is under the age of 18, parental consent is necessary. There is no submission fee. 

1. Download and complete the digital entry form.
2. Write a short story or essay, 3 pages double spaced, expressing your interest, passion, struggles, and/or encounters with film, television, or media. Submission must be made as a .doc or .pdf file.
3. Upload a 3-5 minute film, a video of your work, keeping in mind Valiant’s ideals of innovative, inspiring, and memorable storytelling. It can be a short film, music video, experimental animation, or what best expresses you. We want to see your creativity. Please note that the video sample must be sent as a link, attached movie files are not accepted.
